The probe detects liquid on contact: when liquid bridges the sensing surface, the sensor state changes and an alarm is generated. Because there are no exposed electrodes, the probe resists corrosion and false alarms from oxidation.
The S50 stores up to 2,000 records locally and automatically retransmits them once connectivity returns. Alarms are queued, not lost.
Yes. The 17,000 mAh / 3.6 V cell is user-replaceable, and with typical reporting (once per day) it lasts more than 16 years — so in most deployments it is never replaced at all.
The compact 126 × 60 × 47 mm enclosure mounts on walls (external probe version) or flat surfaces near the risk area, with the probe placed where liquid would first accumulate. No wiring is needed — power and communication are fully integrated.
